Insanity Max 30 Complete!

Aloha guys!

Sorry it's been a while since my last post. There are so many things that have been going on with my life. However, let's not bore you with the details. Insanity Max 30 really kicked my butt with my cardio endurance, strength, and stamina. And that was up until day 60. Oh yes there were days where I did not feel my best and pushed through the workouts. And yes there were days where I didn't have it in me and had to recover those workouts on the weekend and even not at all. I have to admit, I was a little discouraged and disappointed at how little my results were. I was able to successfully lose 5 pounds during this awesome workout. I did it all modified. It seems like I am hitting a plateau. I was eating clean, I had my cheat meals once a week, and I was staying consistent. So I'm not sure where I missed my mark in accomplishing my goal at losing at least 10 pounds during this workout. I know I need to mix it up and incorporate weight lifting. Which I actually started, so I'm excited. So here are my results for Insanity Max 30: Modified.....

Not a big shift in weight or inches, however, I am so excited to say that I am able to fit into my pre-pregnancy shorts and jeans! It's been such a thrilling journey and a lot of anxiety because I have been so grateful to have the opportunity to have the motivation and encouragement to take action with losing my post pregnancy weight. I know that not all women are the same and that it takes so much longer for some to even gather up the motivation. And that is so tough. Not all of us have that drive initially, so I encourage and support anyone who's having a hard time gathering up the energy or drive to get started. Seriously, I know the challenges it takes and the discouragement you experience. So I want you gals to know that you're not alone and that you have my support 100 percent!!
We have to remember these things don't happen overnight. We can't expect to drop all the weight we had accumulated within the 10 months of pregnancy, not to mention how much our body changes within that time frame. So it's going to take the same amount of time, if not more, to see the changes in your body to form back to where it was or where you want it to be. Here's an awesome snap shot of my progress...

Crazy right! Over 7 months I have been able to lose a total of 34 pounds. Let me say it's been 7 months of slowly getting back into working out. I did P90X, PiYo, 21 Day Fix, Focus T25, and Insanity Max 30. I have been learning how to eat clean, meal prep, drinking lots and lots of water, how to rest when my body needs it, and to enjoy my favorite foods without eliminating them completely from my diet. By no means am I perfect and am I eating clean 100%. I have my days where I indulge here and there and when I have my off days, where I just don't feel great. But you know what, I still get up each day and tell myself that this day is a new day to make it better than the last. You need to motivate yourself and tell yourself that you're worth it! Even when you don't feel it. Tell yourself, hear yourself, and believe in yourself. Because no one else can do it for you. You have to know when to leap, and where to accept failure. With failure comes success! So don't be scared to fail. You're not alone in your journey. Know that so many other women face the same struggles and go through similar challenges. Progress, even when it may seem small, is so much better than no progress at all.

So I encourage you to do something worth it today that will lead you closer to your goal! It is never to late to start. It's only late if you never intend to start. You're only crushing your self worth and what you have the ability to do. Don't do that to yourself. You are greater than you think. You are stronger than you think. You will be surprised at how far you can go and where you will go. I believe you can and I know you will. Now, go get it!!

Insanity Max 30: Day 30 update and on to Month 2

Hey guys,

So if you've been following me I just finished my first month of Insanity Max 30. And let me tell you, even though I haven't had huge results, my endurance and cardio has improved so much from Day 1. I have to admit it's been so hard trying to lose the rest of my post baby weight these past few months. With a hectic schedule of being a military mommy I have to admit I'm struggling with staying consistent with my eating habits, my sleeping routine, and managing my time wisely. The only strong point that I do have is getting my workouts in. Let me tell you I'm so excited to be back in the gym lifting weights. I decided since my goal is to compete as a figure model in 2017 I need to get strong and gain definition and muscle, so it's time to get back at it. Now I'm doing cardio and strengthening. Some may say I'm juggling too much at once, and call me crazy but that's what I crave! Lol. I know it's not wise to have too much on my plate because then I won't get the adequate rest I need in order to repair and recover, but I know I can handle it. I just need to be more organized and wise with my time.

So here are my 30 day results:
I successfully lost 3 pounds and a total of 3.5 inches total. Sure it may not seem much, but to me it's progress! Lately most of us seek that instant change in weight loss, that chiseled 6-pack, and the perfect toned body. But everyone is different and everyone will shed off the weight slower than others. So in my mind, I'm the tortoise in this race. Slow and steady. I have to admit, I'm a bit of a competitor, especially with myself, so I do have my moments where I get frustrated and disappointed. I have negative comments about myself just like any Mommy does when she works on getting her body back after having beautiful babies. I'm only human. But what makes you successful is the consistency, the drive, the motivation, and the determination to keep going. Love your body for what it is and what you are aspiring it to become. Always remind yourself that it will take time, but you will be successful!
Month 1 is down. Now it's time to rock out and crush month 2. Who is still in their fitness and health game? January is already over and we're already in the 2nd day of February. Are you still chugging away at your New Year resolutions to lose weight and meet your goal head on? Or have you lost your motivation to keep going and think that what you started isn't worth it? I dare you to NOT give up on yourself!!! Keep going, no matter what you're feeling that day. Even if you think you're too tired or you're too lazy. Get up and do something. This is your year to shine! Don't let time pass you by again and again. Make it count. Zero limits. Inspire to Be GREAT!

End of Week 2: Insanity Max 30

Goodness gracious week 2 is already over and I'm rolling right into week 3. Already?! How crazy. I tell you what my max times are starting to stretch out longer. There are days where I last longer than others, but the important thing is that I finish until the end and I give it my all.

I think it's way too cool to see how far you can really push yourself. I am a mommy to a 6 month old boy. I am active duty and work the grave yard shift and roll right into watching my son during the day on top of being a wife in between it all. It can seriously be exhausting to say the least! But I enjoy each and every blessing that God has give me in this life.
So for this week (Week 2) I'm starting to implement 3-4 days of weight lifting. Yup. I have to get back at it since I'm planning to be a Figure Competitor come 2017. I'm excited! Yesterday I realized just how much I had lost with my strength training. It's insane how much muscle mass you will lose when you don't stay consistent. It's just like anything else. When you're not in a routine and you lose focus, you lose all touch of what you had initially gained, you lose it just like that. But what's done is done and I'm back to square one. You know it's okay. It gave me the drive and the motivation to set higher standards and to reach my goal to be a competitor. Never would I have thought to even think of being a Figure competitor, but the more and more I see how passionate I am about health and fitness, it's a goal I intend to accomplish and be successful in.

I'm excited for this year! I have so many goals and am so amped to accomplish them one by one. So stayed tuned with my progress. Week 2 is over and we're already half way through with week 3. Insanity Max 30 modified style!!

Are you maxing out? Insanity Max 30: Week 1

Hey guys!! So here I am, starting a new Beachbody program and I am psyched. A new and incredibly intense workout by Shaun T has been motivating people to push themselves to their cardio limit and boy has it been pushing me to my MAX!
This new and exciting workout has seriously been such a thrill already this first week. Day 1 I maxed out at minute 3...MINUTE 3?! Whaaaaat? Let me tell you, I've never felt so weak in my life. Okay well maybe right after my pregnancy, but still. This time was I was super defeated. I was doing Focus T25 by then so in my mind I was ready, I was prepared and I was going to hit it hard. Nope. Haha. But you know what? I'm rolling into week 2 and I can say that I have improved my time significantly.

Week 2 Cardio Challenge, I maxed out at minute 19. MINUTE 19! Woo hoo. Did I tell you guys I'm doing it all modified? Yup. I sure am. These plyo exercises and high impact drills are a challenge for me because of my injured knee, so this time around I'm sticking to the modified moves. Even then I have to take precautions because I can still feel my knee taking a beating and by the end of 30 minutes it's in dire need of some ice. But that's okay, I can roll with the punches.

I needed a new workout and diet plan to get me out of this plateau that I've been in for the past couple of months. My weight hasn't been dropping. I've stayed at 166 pounds since November and it's seriously driving me nuts. My goal is to get all this baby weight off once and for all come April 1st. This means sticking to my diet plan and sticking to my workouts. NO MORE EXCUSES! I know I can do it and I will do it. I have my 'before' pictures and all of my measurements. I seriously am so excited to share it with you all once I have successfully completed this program. I want to show you guys that even by doing modified movements, you can still get an amazing transformation when you stick with it and you eat clean. So stay tuned!
Alright so it's literally mid January already. Holy cow. This month has flown by! Let me ask you this, are you still as amped up as you were on January 1, 2015 with your New Year resolutions? It's around this time that people are still trying to push through and stay committed but the adrenaline is slowly starting to die off. Are you in this position? Are you starting to lose traction of your own accountability and falling back into your old habits? If you answered yes, then come join my support fitness challenge group that I will be running starting the 26th of January called, "Fit For Spring." You'll get amazing support from me to help motivate you and keep you accountable. I promise you I will cheer you on every step of the way, give you the best tips, advice, teach you how to meal plan and prep, set you up for success so that even when the group is over you'll still be implementing the skills I taught you to live a healthier lifestyle. You'll have your best transformation yet!! And have the fundamental tools to inspire others to do the same.
If you want to get Beachbody ready you need to start now! It doesn't matter where you are as long as you commit now and stay consistent, be persistent and show me you're ready for change then I will be your success partner and we can do this together. Are you in?! Let's make 2015 your year. Why not YOU?
